How did the meeting go, Bob (or UglyKid)?

Any new members? How many attendees? When did it finish?

It would be useful to those prospective UKIP members who access this site if meetings like this, as well as being publicised here, could issue a short report on this forum afterwards.

The meeting went extremely well, we had at least 5 prospective new members, and given the applause I received, I would conclude my speech went down well. We also showed the Britain on the Brink video, which again was well received, there was a lively debate and we took twice our normal donations. We handed out 4000 leaflets and Remote control videos for the membership to continue our intensive campaign. I have also received 10 requests for additional information from a circulation of just 150 leaflets into my village. All in all Swindon is doing well.

Our next aim is to go into local community centres on each ward and talk to their members. We have also waiting for a further batch of the new leaflet releases which again will be delivered. I have a hard working team and they deserve praise.

Agreed. Was that one leaflet per meeting attendee or 500 leaflets per member attending? Either way, well done.

Earthling I believe the success of our group is that whilst we obviously have a committee structure I believe in delegation. Including to the general membership. They are all enthusiastic to get the message out because they know they are supported by a committee that is also committed to the cause. I hope you have a successful meeting. In the end meetings aren't about the numbers attending it's about what those present 'take away' and how they then progress the message.
I have an information display in my pub with local and regional tourism information where I also include UKIP stuff. No overt campaigning just amongst the rest, it's amazing how many leaflets and Remote Control videos are collected. Lets hope we are assisting other areas with this as many of our guests are from 'out of town'.
