Default Where's the good news from UKIP?

Given the kicking that UKIP has taken in recent months, one would expect them to produce a flurry of good news, articles, policy statements, and current affairs commentary. However, looking at the web site, the last news item was nine days ago, and there have been just three this month.

The good news is the strategy of getting as many prospective parliamentary candidates in place in constituencies early on this time, is going ahead vey nicely thank you.

This gives UKIP two distinct advantages:-

1) The political threat is now not just theoretical - it is extant and real: definite opposition to the other parties. We don't just exist as a potential threat somewhere near the election - we are a real one - now. Ready to stand against them.

2) The prospective candidates will now be beginning to do what we do best - get small meetings organised around the constitutency wards - and we have plenty of time to get on with it with plenty of them before the election, so that we shall be more than only just known as some esoteric party "out there"..... we shall have had many meetings where the word gets out and spreads and people know more of our polices than just the name.
This process is our key advantage over the other parties because we do it well - better than them - and it has its effect at grassroots level.
It also increases membership slowly but surely. Another great advantage.

There are two meetings next week in this area - one in Chichester with Delroy speaking; and one in Bognor Regis with me speaking.

We are on the road again ..........

"The good news is the strategy of getting as many prospective parliamentary candidates in place in constituencies early on this time, is going ahead vey nicely thank you."

Parliamentary candidates?? You are talking about an event that is possibly up to 2 years away! Why isn't the party dealing with things that matter NOW; local by-elections, Westminster by-elections, next year's EU elections - all the current issues that need a national party (that still claims to be the 4th largest in the UK) to make public pronouncements on.

UKIP should be a campaigning party for the PRESENT, not just for FUTURE events, and I see little evidence of that.

What are you babbling on about? As mentioned in the first post, the last news item was NINE days ago on the UKIP website, and according to Mr Butcher, there have been just THREE this month. UKIP has to have a more coherent strategy than it obviously does have if it wants to press its claim as Britain's 4th largest party, otherwise the party is tumbling fast into the pit of political irrelevance.

Hartlepool, as you have stated you are NOT a UKIP supporter, why should you care?

What we do from now-on with positive campaigning, and continuing up to the EU election next year; and the general election the year after - will all make a huge diffference to all the elections.

Do nothing - get nowhere! Lots of mini-meetings get everywhere!
Simple.

Do you not accept that if a casual member of the public visited the main UKIP website they would see little evidence of an active national party campaigning hard as nails to get its members elected at any and every opportunity that presented itself?

If UKIP wants to give an alternate impression then it needs to get someone else to run its website and create the impression that will inspire success and promote creativity.

Why is the website taking an apparently long time in being updated? A party of the scale of UKIP should not be wasting precious moments in getting its message across, time IS of the essence.
