I suppose it is. BDF is evidently turning me into a cynic!

It's unhealthy to spend too much time here.

Yep, I was sane when I first posted and look at the stuff I come out with now.

Are many people from this forum attending the Saturday North East Rally/hustings? I would be good to meet the forum armchair politicians!

I think John you're being a bit rude calling people on here 'armchair' politicians. Many of us have been candidates at elections or have been campaigning for years. I was on my first ballot paper in 1998; how old were you at the time?

Agreed. The regular posters on this forum include Branch chairmen, branch and regional committee members, NEC members, MEP and MP PPCs, not to mention UKIP staff. It's not wise to condescend to those you hope to be working with, John.

Just that I'm a strong advocate of don't talk - do! less chat more action, I worry that this forum could be the downfall of ukip branches - as regards the comment made by our despondent member at the fact that there are few activists left in ukip - thry are all on this forum bickering rather than out there getting the message to future voters! Again the truth of the matter hurts. This is not intended to cause offence. I understand the comments made by Chikrodah, however, politics is often a dirty game and we must prepare ourselves for that

Are you seriously suggesting that the branch, committee and NEC members who post on this forum aren't active? Have you bothered to do any research on any of them? Have you offered to support the ones in your area?

Did you campaign at Henley? At Crewe? Did you travel to Scotland, Hartlepool, Bromley, London etc. to support the major campaigns there? A lot of these "bickering forum members" did, and will again. How long, exactly, have you been a member of UKIP, that you feel able to judge others and find them wanting? What other political party or parties have you been a member of?

You've got no idea, at your tender age, just how dirty politics can be.
