Grim up north: Come on there's a good fellow. would you not agree that Reeve's got his employment by an irregular route? Paid positions need to be advertised, and the one chosen, should be the 'best of the bunch'. This did not happen in this case. If an MEP wishes to select a candidate for that work affecting him alone, that is one thing. But individuals like Reeve, simultaneously become involved in UKIP work. What right, for example, should Reeves have any involvement whatever in selecting prospective UKIP
MEP candidates? Either deliberately or inadvertently, he was instrumental in harming Robin Page. Look at those who were more fortunate; Gulleford, being investigated by the police and indirectly, via Titford, by OLAF. Andrew Smith, who advised senior members of the Party to deceive the Electorol Commission during their investigations, and David Campbell Bannerman, who lied as to his relationship to a formenr Prime Minister. None of those matters were deemed sufficiently important as to exclude them from the selection processs. Perhaps 'Grim up north' should concern himself with justice for the membership, and not sub-standard employees who are destroying the Party. |

Sorry Geoffrey, as much as I think Reeve should go the position was advertised nationally. |

All this backbiting and inturnal strife makes me somewhat more happy with my decision to get out. Since the days of Mr. Sked this party has been a tool for self ambitious people to get on the bandwagon and further their own ambitions irrespective of the overall aim. The Eastern region RO. is on record as wanting onr particular chairman out of the way so as to combine his own branch with the other branch which will undoubtedly fold on the resignation of it's chairman, and is so doing give him the overall control of most of N. Cambs. All I can say to him is beware the scorpions tail.

Legin: Who you are I know not; but THE position, being that position which he now holds, was obtained by Peter Reeve, following Reeve's refusal to work for the MEP who
who originally engaged him. That MEP is currently of interest to the Bedfordshire Constabulary. That, in my opinion, justifies the description of his present employment, as being obtained by an 'irregular route, perfectly accurate. For it to be inaccurate, a subsequent national advertisement for Reeve's present position would have to be identified. When you peruse the Regional Lists of the successful applicants, and reflect on the blatant disregard of the rules and procedures by which it was produced, any fair-minded person would agree that Robin Page suffered an injustice. If this is how they act in public, I wonder how accurately the votes will be finally counted. |

SponPlaque: We still have large legal fees and some unfortunate choices as G.E. agents,
Some of our business ventures have been disappointing too. Return from Zurich and you will still find the 'Old England' of your remembrance. Can you yodel yet? |

My recollection was that the job that Reeves went for was advertised in Independence News. However, as Reeves was about to take up the job, Wise was suspended, and Titford offered a substitute job to be helpful. Gosh - what a scandal!
