I believe Tim has been in the party longer than 2 weeks. I recall him attending the Exeter rally at the beginning of March after having recently joined. He also has a blog post stating he had joined the party posted on February 18th (Tim Worstall — It is all obvious or trivial except…). So he would appear to have been a member for at least 5 months.

Does this mean that Steve and Farage have had a falling out?

Or,is your "or else" just for effect?

Just wondering,thats all.

He was told to get his name on the NE list. This was not a polite suggestion on the part of Mr Farage.

No names, no pack drill - judging by some of the posts on the forum there are anonymous posters here who might just have an interest.

Fordtit, Eagle, Star, HULKMAN, Legin - which one is you, or who do you work for? Lots of anti-Gulleford posters about, perhaps they are other named candidates or work for someone.

It's odd,why wouldn't Steve Allison have his name on the NE List, his wives name is on the list so it can't have just been a slipup,it must have been left off deliberately and by agreement I would think.

Really? I know personally, or by reputation all but three of the names on the Southeast list (the three being Messrs Van der Elst, Mazhar, and Webb).

However, I suspect that for those living outside of the Southeast region, only Nigel, and Marta would be well known (and not even Marta necessarily) and they may have dim recollections of hearing the name Steve Harris from time to time. For those who frequent the forum, perahaps they would recognize Ray Finch and Harry Aldridge as well, but they might not know a lot about them.

So I think that there is nothing unusual nor suspicious about most of the list members not being well known to the average UKIP member.

Yes Aardvark,I get your drift on these but it is strange how all these new ukip members and friends of friends are seeming to pop up on the ukip lists.

Its looking like places on the lists and candidacy names are mainly jobs for the boys/girls and thats no way to go in my HO.

Its inviting problems and already scattering the ukip members to other places than the ukip nest.

Those responsible for this plan are certainly not experienced or capable, thats for sure.

As I pointed out above, this certainly isn't the case in the Southeast. And it may not apply to other regions either. People who are unknown to us may be well known to those in their region.

Apart from the three people whom I do not know, and Marta Andreasen who is something of a special case, every one of the candidates on the Southeast List is a hard working member of UKIP. Most have been selected as PPCs for various southeast constituencies, have contested local elections, and serve on the committee of their local branch.

My recollection is that Mr. Van der Elst is a founder member who served on the first NEC under Alan Sked...
