Default UKIP MP Bob Spink - Has he lost the plot?

Have you examined the voting record of UKIP MP Bob Spink?

Voting Record — Bob Spink MP, Castle Point (11245) — The Public Whip

Can anyone explain why he has voted both for and against in every vote since becoming a UKIP MP?

Totally misleading subject header . BB , please try and explain what you mean. Looking at his voting record it seems very straightforward and I dont understand your comment that he has voted " both for and against in every vote" which is clearly totally impossible.

I'm afraid it is perfectly possible to vote for and against any bill put through the HoC.

This thread is nonsense.

Full explanations please - in common English preferably with common sense.

Oh dear BB it would seem that it is you who has lost the plot. Bob has voted in 82 divisions since joining UKIP and in that time has voted both aye and no on only 9 occasions.

Here is a list of all of his votes

It's how you abstain, you dullard.

I thought you abstained by not going through the lobbies. The most obvious example being the Lib-Dems over the Reform Treaty. I wasn't aware there was a provision to vote twice, you either went through one lobby or the other. But clearly others know better. I must say the way the link is worded does seem that he voted 'both'.

Not going through lobbies implies absent/ not interested.
Voting in both lobbies registers your objection to both options, i.e. you're saying I think you should find some other way...

Then why was the Lib-Dems actions against the vote for a Referendum on the reform treaty an abstention. They didn't move from their benches. I watched it.

Not voting at all is the normal way of abstaining but a small number of MP's like to vote both ways in order to put on record that they are in fact abstaining and were not simply absent.
