For instance: I have just Googled ‘Post Office closures’ on Google – there is not a single sponsored link!

UKIP could get one very cheaply, just reading:

Post Office closure are due to the EU: read the inside story.

And then give a link to the UKIP pages, where there must be a very low key, very factual account of the real reasons behind the post office closures.

This is the sort of advertising we should be doing!

(Incidentally, this is one of the reasons for Barack Obama’s success in America – he has been using the web properly).
Don't forget a large number of senior voters do not have the Internet, more over sixty haven't than have! You're probably young and dismiss the wrinkly vote! Don't forget they are in the age group most likely to vote and there are a lot of them!

Well, I am not going to see 60 again myself, but I have been doing web sites for nearly 20 years now, and I know a lot about leafleting (I will be doing over 2m over Christmas) but we are putting an increasing amount of our advertising on Google.

The point is that it is targeted – you only pay per click, so you will know that everyone who is hepped up about post office closures, and clicks, will read the UKIP message.

If only UKIP were to put up a suitable web page – informative, non-partisan, just giving the facts – I would almost be prepared to put up £10 worth of Google clicks myself!
