At this junction I couldn't tell you if anyone has been selected as a prospective MEP as I believe the NEC has to approve applicants before they can go on the ballot. I thought that someone as wise and connected as yourself would know that.

Unfortunately, Eagle has provided no proof. His tone, and behaviour of arriving here unannounced with a post that could be defamtory and for which he offers no proof reminds me of others who have appeared on here in the past with an obvious grudge against various UKIP members in the east of England.

Actually, it's the political committee that deals with disputes and late additions... I've just reread the rules on UKIP.ORG and it's quite clear.

Perhaps not yet, but, I heard a lot of strange noises as I drove past the Chelmsford office yesterday!!

I am not prepared to reveal my sources. There is more than one. They have or will be making statements to the police and OLAF. It would not help them if I revealed their names to the public.

This investigation may, in time, be linked to another investigation involving another MEP.

Serious complaints have made to OLAF and the police. These complaints concern Jeffrey Titford and Stuart Gulleford. I will not reveal the nature of the evidence. To do so may harm any future prosecution. Not all of these complaints are recent.

Jeffrey Titford is aware of OLAF's interest in him. He has chosen not to inform UKIP members. Roger Knapman did not know and he is a former leader of UKIP. Only Mr Titford can say why he decided to keep them in the dark.

So let me get this straight Eagle, a poster who has never been on the forum comes on and posts that serious allegations, one assumes, because you won't say, of a criminal nature, are levelled at two men, and then you claim you wish to protect your sources, one can only assume from libel, and we are supposed to believe this to be genuine. I think you must go to the GC, Jackanory School of Truth. Ie. it's true cos' I say so. So that puts another allegation to bed. Mentioning Knapman gives your claims even less credibility given the damage he is doing to the party, what makes you think he's telling the truth.

I say, and most members certainly agree with me; once a Party appears in the media constantly for all the wrong reasons, those who harm us in this way must be held to account.

You appear to hate the Party's honest majority, but grovel to those who are our main problem. Disbelieve me if you wish, but wide and far reaching investigations are in progress, the hope must be that they will be successful and change will come. As I said in my NEC statement, honesty is not be an optional extra, but a central imperative. I accept that you don't agree with that, but I do.
