Default Why should i vote for UKIP?

Reasons for Voting UKIP
UK Independence Party

A Breath of Fresh Air……

Six Good Reasons for voting for UKIP in General or Local Elections.

1. Democracy and Sovereignty Whilst insisting the Iraqi people have theirs, the Labour Government is paying the EU thirty million pounds per day to take away ours! The Lib Dems and the Tories intend to continue to do the same………if they get elected !

UKIP’s first priority will be to repeal the European Communities Act of 1972 and restore democracy to the British people. Experience over the last 30 years has shown us that it is virtually impossible for our Parliament to change any EU laws.

2. World Trade Traditionally, we have trading partners from all over the globe, but Labour, Lib Dems and the Tories want to keep our businesses bound by EU bureaucracy and red tape which makes us uncompetitive in non-EU markets.

UKIP would release business operators from the binding chains of the EU, to ensure we can continue trading freely with our partners from around the world.

3. Defence and National Security Labour, Lib Dems and the Tories will continue to reduce Britain’s military forces as they become integrated into the EU ‘barmy army’.

UKIP would maintain a British military force suited to the requirements for our own national security and continue our membership of NATO.

4. Immigration Labour, Lib Dems and the Tories cannot stop our decision-making powers on Foreign Policy and Immigration being handed over to the EU.

UKIP would formulate Foreign Policy and immigration Controls according to the needs of the Nation and the will of the people.

5. Emergency Services Labour, Lib Dems and the Tories will be unable to stop EU directives and red tape further increasing bureaucracy in the Police, Health & Welfare, Education, Local Government services and Business.

Only UKIP’s stance on leaving the EU will enable us to de-congest these vital services and reduce bureaucracy because we would no longer be bound by the inflexible and damaging EU legislation.

6. Regional Government Labour, Lib Dems and the Tories will continue implementing the EU requirement to set up Regional Government. This involves dividing England into eight regions,(Scotland,Wales and London are already effectively EU regions),and abolishing our County Councils.

UKIP would keep the County Councils and abolish the Regional Assemblies because they are neither relevant nor properly accountable to the huge areas they will serve.

Please don’t make the mistake of thinking ‘UKIP MPs will be just the same as all the others’. The UK Independence Party was founded by genuine patriotic people who want to keep our country in the hands of accountable politicians who they can vote in or vote out; not put at the mercy of unelected bureaucrats they can’t. Only UKIP believes that we don’t need 27 commissioners, 26 of whom are foreigners, who have no allegiance to Britain whatsoever, to tell us what to do and when to do it!

UKIP tells you the facts, the other parties will not !

Be true to Yourself. Be true to your Country. Vote for UKIP.

Miracles can happen, but only if you vote for them to happen!

Six reasons why you may think that you shouldn’t vote for UKIP

1. ‘I’ll vote Conservative because I don’t want to let Labour in again’

UKIP’s response: You might save the Tories but you won’t save your Country! Neither the Tories, nor Labour nor Lib Dems are permitted to legislate on important issues affecting the well-being of our Country, so you won’t notice much difference between them. UKIP MP’s will be able to start the process for returning democracy to Westminster.

2. ‘UKIP doesn’t have any experience in Government’.

UKIP’s response: Nor did any other party have before they came to power! However, we have carefully selected MP candidates who have had experience in ‘the real world’ of commerce and employment, politicians in the other parties have gone straight into politics without gaining valuable business experience.

3. ‘It’s too late to pull out of the EU’.

UKIP’s response: If our Westminster Parliament repeals the 1972 European Communities Act, we can still leave the EU immediately and without penalty. However, if the EU Constitution becomes ratified either by Parliament or a national referendum, leaving the EU would still be possible, but subject to a two-year period of damaging conditions applied to us as directed by the other 26 member states.

4.‘UKIP is a ‘one issue’ Party’.

UKIP’s response: Not true, UKIP has plans for Transport, Education, Health, Defence, Foreign Policies, Immigration etc. but to make the necessary improvements, our politicians would need the freedom - and money - that would become available when we leave the EU. Only UKIP is prepared to advocate complete withdrawal from the EU.

5. ‘If we leave the EU, they may not trade with us’.

UKIP’s response: This is nonsense! EU trade does not depend on EU membership. You will find that non-members Switzerland and Norway actually sell far more goods to EU countries than we manage to. It is a fact that we buy far more goods from EU states than we are able to sell to them. (We had a balance of trade deficit of £103.5billion with the EU just between 1988 and 2001). Hence they need us more than we need them !

6. ‘I won’t vote for any party now because I don’t trust politicians’.

UKIP’s response. UKIP consists of people who are motivated because we don’t like what the other politicians are doing to our Country! None of us started out wishing to be politicians. We have no hidden agendas; our main aim is to give you the EU facts. For that reason, you’ll hear more scorn poured upon us by the media. Indeed, you may have wondered why UKIP is never allowed any sensible coverage on television programmes. The other parties are worried, and rightly so! They know that if we stay in the EU, they can’t change the damaging legislation affecting Transport, Health, Education, Defence, Pensions, Immigration etc. because all of these issues and more, are now bound by over 125,000 EU Directives* Only complete withdrawal from the EU,as advocated by UKIP will allow our elected Parliament to REGAIN CONTROL of OUR OWN COUNTRY.

Why your vote is important

The next General Election may be the last time we vote for our own Parliament. It will decide whether our country finally surrenders her independence to Brussels and we become a mere province of Europe.

Already, we have seen our fishing industry destroyed and our businesses swamped with regulations from the army of unelected bureaucrats in Brussels.

Already, the Laws made by the European Commission are the laws of this land and take precedence over our own.

What's more, our economy must now be run for the benefit of the whole of Europe. Our governments have surrendered the right to put us first when it comes to creating jobs and security for our future.

With those rights gone, Britain will be litle more than a region of a new country called Europe. In five years time we will be forced to use the euro as our currency; vetoes will no longer exist. This is why your vote is important.

Our politicians will not discuss the Lisbon Treaty with the electorate. They don't think that we can understand its implications. In any case, it will not be published, in English, until after all member states have ratified it.

It was the Conservatives who signed the treaties that gave up our independence. We know Labour are committed to Europe. We believe the politicians have no right to surrender our national independence without a proper referendum.

This towers above party politics. That is why, on this vital issue we ask you to lay aside your traditional party allegiance and support the United Kingdom Independence Party.

We all care passionately that the British people should make their view heard on Europe through a referendum

Every single vote for UKIP will count. The total number of votes cast for the Party across the country will send a clear message to Downing Street that the people want a referendum.

Just this once - we urge you to put your country before your party.

Nice post, now we need the likes of The Sun to print something similar, and for the party to unite instead of bickering otherwise we (and the country) are doomed.

Totally agree, but I'm sure there will be those who will have something to say about it.

Well done on such a positive post which might gain some support. However, could we also discuss the domestic policies that UKIP has? People might like to know how we would run the country once we had left the EU before they consider offering their support, or for those who are undecided about the negative points of EU membership- what we plan to do that appeals to them.

Default Policy Documents

It does seem rather odd that members appear ignorant of the fact we door have a whole raft of policy documents that can be downloaded from the main UKIP site. When people ask me, I do a brief over view and then refer them to the site. There is also a policy briefing sheet there which can be printed out.

Hi Bob

I know that, and most of our members probably do too, but I was just thinking it might be a good idea to discuss them here under the excellent heading of this thread where the undecided or non-members might read them and who might not go and look at the site

That is a marketing issue. UKIP simply doesn't sell itself well.

True but our representatives, UKIP MEPs, have all gone native. FACT. So why would UKIP MPs be any different. Anyway, Spinks aside as he probaly won't survive the next GE, UKIP MPs are so unlikely pigs will learn to fly first.
