Hi,
I have been following UKIP since the summer of 2006. I regularly visited the website (and still do of course) and gained as much information as I could via the site and the newsletters they send me in the post However I noticed when I began researching the party again that the website had changed significantly, not just in the layout but the content too. For those of you who don't remember or weren't involved then, here is how I remember it (from June 2006): UK Independence Party Official website (UKIP) Not only do I think the layout is better using the official UKIP colour scheme but also it seems to have a lot more information and detail. What I also looked for recently is the UKIP Shop which now seems to no longer exist. 2 years ago I remember sending off for a UK Passport Holder WITHOUT the EU written on it, stickers for the car, and all sorts of merchandise and things which could be used to promote the party too. Compared to the old site I think the new site looks pretty dull and harder to navigate. It may seem like a small issue to many, but I think the more professional looking the site, the better, it is common business sense to have a professional-looking and easy to use website. Does anyone else agree that the current site is worse than the old? Does anyone miss the UKIP shop? Discuss

The new site is far superior to the old one in my opinion. I'm not sure if there are any plans to put the UKIP shop back on the site, but I would hope this is the case.

Earthling - I think the *new* website if far better than the old one but if you want to see a real professional site, take a look at:
DUP.org.uk A real uptodate political website. |

![]() ![]() You are correct, (just had a quick peek!!),a very good informative site, perhaps UKIP could somehow combine the best of the two sites ![]() ![]() As it is, our site doesn't exactly hit anyone between the eyes on their first viewing ![]() |

I guess the banner is a lot more professional on the new site but I do miss the yellow/magenta of the old
As a conservative defect I have viewed the Conservative website many times, it is very good, and easy to use. The DUP site looks good too - funnily enough I think the Labour website is a big mess, a bit like their government

I look forward to seeing it, I hope it has a bit more going on visually than the current
