I share your concern. We need to hammer UKIP into shape, or perhaps another political party if UKIP doesn't shape up in the next year or two, and get out there and fight like hell.
In my honest opinon mate i think we young members and anyone else need to get a bit tougher with NEC if we are to shape the party in the way it needs to be.

Plus once NF time as leader is up there needs to be a new elected leader that is based in the UK fulltime and no MEP's as leaders anymore but im not holding my breath?.

Winston Churchill.

When Labour won the 1997 General Election, Enoch Powell told his wife that the electorate had voted to break up the United Kingdom.

Probably. I haven't seen any NEC decisions I disagree with for quite some time though. This may just be because we're not focusing on stuff that matters.

I completely agree. The next leader of the UK Independence Party ought to be someone who is based full-time in the UK. It is also important that we do not have a repeat of the dirty tricks from 2006.

During the last leadership election there were smears about the other candidates, etc. This stuff doesn't belong in UKIP. Next time we need to have a completely clean election.

Some UKIP members seem intent on driving young people away - such as the idiots who support national service.

Default We Should Encourage The Young

The young are certainly very active within the party in our part of the world, and a family of 6 such young members have recently written to Roger Knapman, condemning his stance on the INDEM group. He has sought to marginalise the party in the West Country and sadly because of his undoubted local popularity many, I believe, have not seen the implications of UKIP leaving the group, not the least being the increased allowances for such a group which have been used in a number of very important UK/Ireland initiatives, like sending detailed letters to every single household in Ireland explaining why they should vote no. Without those resources, who would have paid, would it have been possible. There is also the INDEM funded remote control video, an excellent aid to the party. What the group also does is to allow us to be on committees, to essentially know what is going on. Not being in the group would mean UKIP sharing benches with the likes of Moussolini and Le Pen. That would really do us the world of good. So lets encourage the young by example, remember that they are the new voter in 2010, much like in 1997 when Labour were elected. There are so many opportunities for UKIP, it just needs positive rather than negative thinking.
