Most people are non-smokers, and most of them are strongly in favour of the smoking ban. This is sad because it reflects limited thinking but it is nevertheless the case.

Even so, we could use anti-smoking ban tactics in the EuroElections of 2009 where there is proportional representation

Here we go again a little knowledge is dangerous. Most people are in favour of bans in public buildings, if you ask them as the ONS Household Survey has done 3 years in a row, the last in 2006/7, after the ban received Royal Assent, (you would expect a lower figure), whether there should be a ban in hospitality they voted an increased 67% no, from last year, 66% which was up from 2004/5 at 65%. So it is simply not true most people are against the ban in hospitality, an area that can and is being developed by groups Nationwide. It is just one target audience that we can develop, if people stop misrepresenting the policy which is not to over turn the ban but to introduce a Regulated Indoor Air Quality Standard to remove 99.97% of all air borne toxins. In short making indoor substantially purer than so called outside 'fresh air'

A well targeted campaign could be worthwhile. Some smokers are fuming (gettit) over this issue. They feel like leppers.

I wonder if tobbaco companies might be open to having a little UKIP advert card in their packs?
