As i see it we are not miles apart but you you ignore the facts that if i wanted to do down the party i could publish damming emails but i don't i discuss ways i feel the party should go if you think that is wrong then we have given the right to freedom of speech up, i know what you are trying to say but i am up for complete transparency and if i cant say it here i shouldn't be saying it at all.

Hmm. We had a conversation not so long ago when you told me that the defence policy had only just been launched and that my criticisms about the feeble launch were premature, and that you expected more publicity attempts for it. Well, there weren't any. UKIP's entire launch of the defence policy was two sentences on the web site.

And the law and order policy launched a short while later? Exactly the same thing; one article taken straight from the policy introduction.

Do you really think that UKIP is doing everything it can to promote those policies? You seemed to be expecting a lot more before, but NOTHING has happened since you made that claim, so presumably you agree with me that the party has made no effort to publicise these two new policy documents.

Blaming the media is easy, but it is a total cop-out.

I also received this, watched it with my parents, who were horrified, naturally.

Nope, but then they have never joined any political party and have become apathetic in their old age

We do what we can with limited resources. DCB has no budget to advertise. The defence policy launch was supposed to have three journalists there from the larger papers - only one turned-up and he was for a smaller private defence digest magazine.
The media are mute and hostile - in the face of that it is difficult - it is not a 'cop-out'.

DED.

That's a desperately weak defence DD. We know that the media aren't interested, so why do UKIP keep on doing the same thing and then complaining about it? It's absurd.

Where are the imaginative campaigns, the defence news commentary, the interviews with military personnel, the polls, the 'shock' revelations of hidden numbers etc.?

In other words, UKIP has done NOTHING news worthy, not a jot, and then complains that the media haven't reported it. UKIP haven't even bothered to promote it on their own website to their own members and other interested political types. I thought that Farage was elected because of his supposed media skills, but he doesn't seem to be employing them yet.

Dismal and unimaginative.
