It stops my asthma from setting off in a pub when we go out.

That's the fourth article on that site promoting the UKIP pro-smoking-choice policy.

I don't know why the government doesn't just allow pubs to apply for smoking licences. Then if there are two pubs in a village, for example, one can have the licence... based on whether they have a non-smoking area as well perhaps. Private clubs could then apply too.

That might at least offer a part way compromise.

Load of old balls.

People have a right to breath in clean air that is not polluted by a fog of drugs.

And by the same token smokers have a right to smoke after all we do live in a liberal democracy - falls about laughing

Neither do they, but then science tips the balance in our favour, as smoking is toxic, and thus we have greater rights not to smoke, than the right to smoke.

I believe smoke should be forcibliy blown into the wombs of mothers that have little fascists brewing up inside them. Clense these ******* out of existence before they have a chance to impose their fascism on people who own pubs.

Correction, you have no rights when it comes to someone elses property. Pubs are not a government service, they're privately owned businesses. Would you presume you had the right to enjoy someone else's garden?

Smoking policy is a subject for landlords. If there was truly money to be made by having a non-smoking policy then that's what they would do.

I still don't see what was wrong with the old arrangement of having smoking and non-smoking sections.
