Let me guess, UKIP is trying to get BOTH of them to stand as MEP candidates next year?

Here is an example of some fee's (US hosting would also be better due to the exchange rate):

Monthly listening hours: 15,000
Monthly Fee including royalties and licensing at 128K (you can go less but it won't be as good quality): $966
Storage space: 600MB (you'll need this for pre-recorded interviews etc.)

I make that $11592 so about £6000 if you go with live365.com

Obviously you can lower costs, but if you want a lot of listeners to be provided with good streamed audio then that's a realistic setup.

That would be a good deal for a group the size of UKIP.

Will they be bold?

Apparently UKIP pay £36,000.00 for the services of an accountant, how much better it would be to spend that money on an initiative such as the web radio station, make our own successful media; something that has a positive impact and educates.

Well said ?
What are you talking about Tara ?

IndependentWorking Class may well be an idiot but I thought you had more sense to agree with him....

Are you suddenly pro-EU, pro new world order, or do you just dislike Mr Whale for some particular reason and want to jump on the "No-one likes a loser" bandwagon (that's making me increasingly sick to be honest).

He's talking the same as the average Brit in this country - speaking basic common sense in the face of polical correctness/madness.

What do you expect him to do - join the Labour party ?

Some people on this site are so caught up in political terminology - i.e. "pro multi culti" that they forget the only thing he is advocating is getting on with other people regardless of colour, race, religion.

Does that make him "pro-multi-culti" ? Who cares what self invented category one wishes to drop him in......

Anyway I am sure I have heard him say he is opposed to mass immigration, so he hardly has a typical "multi-cultural" political agenda.

"Pro-homesexual " ?

You mean he encourages homosexual activity ? No I don't think so.....
Or not homophobic ?
you don't have to be in support of something to condone something.
I'm sure he believes anyone can do what they want if they don't harm anyone else....

If that makes him a liberal then so be it - I'm with him too....

"another system tool for the left" - what the hell are you on about ?! Please explain....

Not everybody is blinded with self obsessed terminology that does nothing but marginalize people for no good reason.

Sorry if you regard this as some kind of scathing attack Tara becasue I respect you a lot.
I just don't get you on this one at all - maybe you can enlighten me.....

And for god sake please don't call me a New labour or multicultural sympathizer.....

Whale is now free to join UKIP and promote it all he wants. He likes Farage and gimlet had a kick **** idea.

Why don't UKIP set up their own radio channel, with Whale fronting it?

He is pretty much on message any way (apart from getting people to vote for son pro-EU Boris, but he might just be like a lot of UKIP members, blinded by their hatred of Red Ken).

Bravo. Possibly the first time I've agreed with you, but you're absolutely spot on with this one.

Default Mr. Whale, Talksport, Eurosceptic, BID-UP TV, 'Freeview', Mr. Nigel Farage MEP, UKIP

I was very surprised and disappointed to read that Mr. James Whale - a great broadcaster - is no longer with Talksport radio.

I listened to his programme every evening.

He said on his programme a couple of weeks ago that he was taking a week's holiday. Then it was announced while he was away that he had asked for a second week off. Now the news has broken that his programme has ended.

Evenings on Talksport radio will not be the same without him.

Mr. Whale often interviewed UKIP leader Mr. Nigel Farage MEP - sometimes for two hours or more.

His programme will be greatly missed.

Today's Guardian newspaper reports that eurosceptic Mr. Whale has already found another job working for BID-UP TV - a shopping channel which millions of viewers can receive over satellite and cable television and via the 'Freeview' set-top box:

Most depressing news I have heard in a long time. That is a graveyard for media hasbeens. I hope he just sees that as an income, so that he can push his own radio channel.
