Dear All

I would like it to be known that Christopher Hudson will not be speaking at the Law and Order Conference organised by John West.

I believe that it is inappropriate for this conference to take place during the electoral process for selecting MEP candidates as it is clearly going to be used by some of the candidates for excessive self promotion, as has already been the case with some of the advance publicity material. The Party Chairman advised that the event should be re-scheduled in the autumn - this advice has been ignored.

Well the BNP has been winning some healthy percentages in recent council by-elections, but of course the object is to win seats, something that party activists have been working hard to achieve and who are quietly confident that their efforts will be rewarded on Friday. Some parties rely on ignoring derisory votes and waiting for the occasional defector to come along, but the BNP tries to win elections.

Quite right! One shouldn't judge potential MEP's by their willingness to attend conferences organised by members, or their ability to stand up in front of people and speak. Whatever next! Candidates should all be judged on the basis of a very short written statement which should be allowed to be edited and mis-spelt by party apparatchiks.

Good for JW! These brigands holding ad-hoc conferences should be shot, or at least brought in front of 'deadly doug' for a disciplinary with at least a crucification for a first offence. Nail some sense into them, I say!

You all have me puzzled here.
The rules, which have been in place for some time, state you are not allowed to tout for votes in the runup. Mr. Titford has just informed the organisers of those rules. The time to change them is not now.
