"I believe that it is inappropriate for this conference to take place during the electoral process for selecting MEP candidates as it is clearly going to be used by some of the candidates for excessive self promotion, as has already been the case with some of the advance publicity material. The Party Chairman advised that the event should be re-scheduled in the autumn - this advice has been ignored". Jeffrey Titford
That is bl**dy rich coming from Titford. This is the man who has been promoting Stuart 'Something of the Night' Gulleford as his successor for four years! EVERY newsletter and newspaper he puts out has Gulleford's picture on it. He also told members at the London conference that Gulleford was his successor. The NEC gave West permission to hold the conference in May. Titford then decides to ignore this ruling and abuses the party database by sending out a nasty email about Mr West. I wonder how Bannerman, Nattrass and Batten will react? After all, Titford has accused them of 'excessive self promotion? It's a bl**dy disgrace! Last edited by fordtit; 29-04-2008 at 07:27 AM. |

I hope that Mr West puts in an official complaint about this. You can't have a UKIP MEP attacking a UKIP member in an email sent out to hundreds of members. What right has he to do this? Did he contact Mr West before doing this. Did he speak to Chris Hudson? Did he speak to the NEC?
This is about the Euros. He does not want West getting selected. He wants Stuart 'Vote for Me or Else!' Gulleford. As I said before, this is a bl**dy disgrace! |

I assume that Christopher Hudson is an MEP candidate himself, in which cae Jeffrey is simply ensuring his own staff abide by the rules as laid down. What is the problem here?

Is he? Nominations don't close until May 16th. Does that mean Titford has access to nomination forms as soon as they are sent in? What about Gulleford? He is seeking selection but that does not stop Titford promoting him on his website, newsletters and papers. One law for Gulleford and a different one for Hudson?
1. What right has Titford to ignore a ruling by the NEC? 2. What right has he to abuse the party database? 3. What right has he to attack a UKIP member? 4. What right has he to ban a conference approved by the NEC? |

Fordtit, clearly the party is upset at you - the paid reinforcements have been drafted in! I await the arrival of Denny to this thread post-haste.
