EU (Amendment) Bill

Saw debate on BBC Parliament tonight from yesterday in the House of Lords. Lords Pearson and Willoughby de Broke doing a heroic job debating against our membership of the EU, apparently with no support from any other speakers in the chamber (most others presumably are on EU pensions).

Lord Pearson had tabled an amendment to oppose the provisions for subsidiarity in the Lisbon Treaty on the grounds that subsidiarity is no more than a deception in pretending to give powers back to member states. Both UKIP peers gave valliant performances rubbishing the Lisbon Treaty and the EU in principle. Particularly snide (but hopeless) attacks from Kinnock.

These two peers are really doing UKIP and the honest people of this country proud. They are dignified, well-informed and resolute.

The two UKIP Peers in the Upper House work very hard and know their facts.
