Hartlepool: I would suspect the fourth largest party in the HOC, would either be the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) or the Scottish Nationalist Party (SNP). I'll check in Whitaker's Almanack when the spirit moves me.

Could Canvey Island be the offshore British island that Ashley Mote and his white supremacist mates is going to purchase and declare as an independent white state?

I can't see how you can say this is not bad news for the BNP. Obviously this is going to place the BNP's predicted victories in the GLA's very much in the shade. Not that these were particularly likely to impress anyone other than the pathetically grateful members of the BNP and their hysterical detractors in the UAF. Certainly not the members of UKIP who won two GLA seats last time, five years ago. Indeed if the BNP do manage two seats they are most likely to replace the UKIP rebels, one London, and therefore will not have inflicted any additional damage on the Establishment. The BNP haven't made any advance, they have simply walked through a hole punched in the opposition line by UKIP. The only reason the BNP have any chance at all is the mess UKIP have made of their breakthroughs and its inability to face up to the immigration crisis in a meaningful way. The BNP's disingenuous reaction to UKIP's achievement is totemic of the crude spin it places on almost every subject. Only a fool would believe that the BNP would not have given Lee Barn's balls for Spinks' name on a membership card. And yet they are claiming it as some sort of betrayal of the electorate! The contempt in which the BNP hold the electorate and most of all its own membership is one of the main reasons their wildest dream is winning 3 seats of Epping Council as major cities are cleared of indigenous Britons. Spink might lose his seat next time out. However there is no guaterntee of this, as has already been noted. In addition to Galloway Richard Taylor in Kidderminster held his independent seat last time out. Martin Bell also demonstarted that good local campaign can get results. Small Parties control significant numbers of constituencies in the "Celtic" nations. The idea that this it is impossiblt to win Westminsters seats because of FPTP has been pedled by the incompant leadership of conservative/nationalist groups for the last three decades rather than go to the trouble of developing attractive policy platforms and adopting proffessional standards. Lets all pray that Spink can can refute this damaging defeatest theory for the good of us all. PS congratulations UKIP and well done Mr Spink. Brummie76 PS If the BNP had any researchers they would be working full time on how to extract more cash for Griffin and identifying any members with talent and judgement so they can be "proscribed" before they cause Collet and his pals any trouble. |

Now that he's a UKIP MP, does he inherit a fully functioning branch or will he have to start from scratch. He will need a good organisation if he is to have half a chance of keeping his seat.

I will be offering my services to his team. Might get me in trouble with my new party, but I don't care.
