Default UKIP, Mr. Bob Spink MP, EU, quote, House of Commons

The above comment from Kernow - if it is interpreted as a single sentence, could, possibly, be seen by some as stating that I am "looking for holes in UKIPs luck".

I am quite sure that is not what loyal UKIP supporter Kernow meant - as he knows, like him I welcome the good news for UKIP that Mr. Bob Spink MP has just joined the party. The only holes I want to see (words from quote above) are large ones in the underneath of the EU ship.

I just thought that I would point this out for those who might misinterpret the words in the above quote.

May I again congratulate UKIP for its historic entry this week into the House of Commons.

Default Europhile, leftist, pro-Labour, UKIP, Commons, pro-EU consensus, parties, decades

Good to see the champagne socialists rattled at anti-EU UKIPs arrival in the Commons - spoiling the pro-EU consensus they and their europhile supporters in other parties have desperately tried to maintain there for the last four decades.

I reiterate my comments from a little while ago about Spink & UKIP which I won't repeat here.

A very warm welcome to you Mr Spink in the unlikely event you read this forum.

Now all UKIP has to do is change the habit of it's brief lifetime and not **** it up.

Yes, very good news for UKIP. Let's not hope it leads to another clash of ego's (RKS)!

I agree with what you are saying Claire but Bob love's his country and he took the time and risk to make the choice to move to UKIP so i dont think we will have another Kilroy moment with him. I have a feeling aswell he MAY? be able to get another one or two MP's on our side so lets see what happens??.

It seems to me, Britannist, that Kernow aimed his post at Anthony.

Well, he only took the decision to move to UKIP from the position of being an independent - he didn't leave the Tories to join UKIP. You could argue (and I don't know either way) that he joined UKIP for cynical reasons (a seat in the European Parliament, funding for his next election campaign?).

The challenge of getting more MPs over is a great one, as they would not only have to join UKIP, but they would have to leave the Tories to do so. Spink had little to lose - he'd already lost the Tory whip, and therefore was not risking his future career or electoral opportunities, whereas getting MPs to give up the security of being a member of the Tories is a much bigger ask.

Some Labour MPs are considering joining Bob and UKIP,perhaps we will see something develope after the upcoming local elections are over.

Yesterdays local election is a direct pointer to what may take place very soon I would say.

Although I'm a member of the Free England Party, I have to say I'm impressed.

Nice one...
