Default As a follow up to 'Why did Reverend choose BNP over UKIP? '

The Rev. John Stanton was a member of the Conservative Party, Lib.Dems, Green Party, UKIP and for a brief period last week, he tells us, the BNP.

He and his wife have just proposed and seconded a Green candidate in the local elections. Obviously a quick return to to grace after his dalliance with the BNP. As he claimed he didn't know much about the BNP, he presumably doesn't know the Greens are pro EU. Perhaps he is just being a good Christian and trying to be, 'All things to All Men'. I.e. pro EU and anti EU at the same time. (He never joined the English Democrats. Maybe he thinks we are past redemption or that wanting an English Parliament is sinful). For my own interest, I will try to find out his current status at the count after Polling Closes on 1st May.

Isn't life exciting in South East Essex?

The Greens are actually very sceptical of the EU. Not to the extent of leaving, but they are very critical.

Douglas D: I doubt if you have been to more meetings than me. for what that could be worth. There is a fundamental difference between us Douglas, I believe that since the foundation of this Party, the members have acquitted themselves more more honourably than the leadership: not just the present one, but virtually all of them. Were they perfect and unblemished, no,
but they behaved in a way which has not harmed the Party. That has not been the case with the leadership. What is the relevance of these comments?
Well,. this is more of a problem for you rather than me. One of the concerns that I and others have, is your willingness to be the, 'cheer-leader, even when there is little to cheer about: like the village idiot being used to amuse the rustics.

Presumably, you do have a few conduits of reliable intelligence, although I am not too certain, and will be aware that great circumspection will be needed in the days ahead. The first duty of the NEC, in my opinion, is the protection of the Party and it's reputation. Those who are the authors of their own misfortune must be left to fight their own battles. No more money must be squandered on legal costs, endeavouring to defend the indefensible. They must resign and be left to stew in their own juice. This will be the big opportunity for the NEC to show their mettle.

We will survive, but those who allow our problems to persist continuously, must not be allowed to have a free-run in the future. Not for the first time, sadly, I will be proved right by the events; just wait and see.

He was a left wing plant, no one could not be that stupid or thick to not know the past history of the party. He also just happens to find out the BNP are an evil vile party just before the elections, this man is a disgrace silly old coffin dodger.

One of the two UK Green Party MEPs (Mrs. Caroline Lucas) is anti-euro, but she is not anti-EU. The other UK Green Party MEP does not seem to be anti-euro and she almost certainly supports the UK being in the EU.

I have posted what I know of John Stanton. He is a decent sort of bloke and everybody that has had any contact with him find him agreeable. I would be perfectly happy if he conducted my funeral. He would give people a laugh as well as the God bit, but I'm sure he would not be so churlish as to slag anybody off.

On the Green Party, they appear to be pro EU but as somebody as hinted, they would like to see it reformed and that ain't possible.

The paper would have no reason to lie. Furthermore I bumped into the BNP election organizer the other day. He was a touch bemused that the Rev. at one time briefly claimed that it was himself.
