Independent UKIP.
This thread is entitled ‘UKIP has imploded - Times’ and relates particularly to this paragraph in the article: ‘The BNP won 4.8 per cent of the vote in the 2004 assembly elections – a whisker below the 5 per cent threshold needed to gain a seat. Since then the UK Independence Party, which won two seats in 2004, has imploded, while the issues of race, immigration and asylum have become ever more potent. The mainstream parties are hardly popular, and in recent by-elections the BNP has consistently won more than 10 per cent of the vote.’ GB is not mentioned in the piece and neither is his/UKIP’s policies for London - in these circumstances I believe I am justified in confining my comments to the threads title and specific UKIP related statement that UKIP has imploded, that is to say has ‘burst inwards’. For the record, I will be very sorry for GB if he does not get a credible result in the election - as I have previously stated, although he might not want the post, I believe that UKIP would do far better with him as leader and if he had been, the party would not have imploded. Why, because all of GB’s actions imply that he is in politics with the express purpose of getting the UK out of the EU, whereas Farage is a career politician whose actions imply that he is in politics for what he, personally, can get out of the honest desire of so many to get the UK out of the EU. The implosion has been caused by Farage because his decisions are not clearly aimed towards achieving the primary goal of the party. If they were the energy of the members would all be directed outwards in pursuit of achieving this aim, because they are not a considerable amount of the energy of the members is directed inwards - this has caused the implosion. |

Indeed, The Times has gone somewhat downhill in recent times (no pun intended).

Funny that.
The fact we got more to our AGM in Havant than ever before. We have more candidates in Hampshire than ever before. The fact the Hampshire meeting last night was packed out. The amount of PPCs we have at this stage in the electoral cycle is more than ever before. Vive la Implosion! No matter what the trolls tell you. We are a vibrant party. My local branch has an 18 year old candidate in these elections. We also have 2 others under 30 standing. Only one of the 9 is of pensionable age. Dan't believe the ******** perpetrated by our enemies. |
