I am pleased to confirm that the Law and Order Conference will be held on Saturday 31st May. This follows a decision made by the NEC on Monday. Speakers will include Gerard Batten, Mike Nattrass, Derek Clark, Paul Nuttall, John West and Chris Hudson. Topics to be discussed include terrorism, capitol punishment and immigration and the rise in crime.

All members are invited to attend. The meeting will be open to the public.

UKIP Law and Order Conference, Woodbridge Community Hall, Station Road, Woodbridge, Suffolk, IP12 4AU

Conference will start at 11.00 and will finish at 4.30. Entry is free. Refreshments will be provided.

That is good news. These kind of events can only help push us away from the single issue party image and should be encouraged.

Why is it taking place so late?

Could this open meeting have been of benefit to UKIP if held prior to the Local elections on 1st May?

Absolutely. I can't imagine why a popular youngish member with reasonable intellect, good public speaking skills, the ability to act on his own initiative and who can organise events should be allowed to act in this manner. He could even get on the list, god forbid.
