Legin: Are we being told that EU paid staff like Reeves, are interfering with UKIP election/selection procedures? At noon to-day, the Bedfordshire Police commenced their investigations. The process continues to-morrow in another part of the Country. Are more problems being created by ambitious ROs in the Eastern Region? As Jeffrey Titford is responsible for Reeves, perhaps some tuition could be of value to his paid servant. Things are being closely watched in UKIP, these days. If self-promotion, by Mr West, is the basic problem, isn't that precisely what Mr Reeves mistress has been doing of late?

******* hell!
There are some bitter and malicious little ******** on this board. I accept some are BNP and other plants but some so-called members really need to stop drinking the vinegar. UKIP is the only decent sized party with a free and fair MEP selection policy. |

Raymond Finch: Presumably that little outburst was intended for me. I am saying that what has happened in the Eastern Region in the past, is now causing UKIP many difficulties. The message must be; change your ways, do things differently and hopefully, we can put all the past behind us. If you want us to survive, and I am sure that you do, see things as they really are.
Don't encourage them to repeat the folly of the past. Loyalty must never be an excuse for cowardice. |

Geoffrey Collier.
It wasn't aimed simply (or even mostly) at you. Loyalty is my watchword. I trust until someone shows they do not deserve my trust. The present leadership of the party is doing as well as possible, in my opinion, given the obstacles we face. I would only say that there are people whose personal ambition is blinding them to the fact that while some of us persist in fighting each other like cats in a sack there are those outside who take great pleasure in seeing and encouraging this. An open forum mostly populated by enemies, undeclared or otherwise, of our party is not the right place to discuss, even in the mildest terms, any issues. I repeat. UKIP is the only decent sized party with a free and fair MEP selection policy. |

This is just more ill informed nonsense.
There has never been any intention of disciplining anybody who took part or helped organise the Bristol Conference. Why on earth wiould anybody think that.It was a conference ordered by a South West MEP. John West has NOT been told he cannot hold his Law and Order conference. In fact it has been given the go ahead by the NEC.So sorry Star your sources are not that good. And as the the MEP selection system gossip let me inform you that information packs are being issued this week from Head Office to all potential candidates and branch officials. Until you read them perhaps people should stop malicious speculation. And yes it does include an enhaced CRB check. Just calm down. |

Clive Page: It was most wise for the NEC to require enhanced CRB clearance for all prospective Euro-election candidates; they should be complimented by all for their decision. Presumably candidates will also be required to submit their birth certificates, in view of of embarrassing identity deceptions which have been perpetrated against the Party in the past.
It is only fair that members who attended the Bar Hill conference should not be disciplined. Those who are passionately against the Lisbon Treaty were all at Loxton. As a social profile, we can assume attendees at Bar Hill were those who don't like horse racing and couldn't care less who won the Grand National; those who are definitely not Portsmouth football supporters and the rest either wanted an excuse not to go shopping, or had just had a row with the wife. As they were all motivated by apolitical reasons, they would have no case to answer. Another courageous decision by our NEC. |

Mr Collier.Let me put your mind at rest.Part of the CRB check involves having to provide several examples as proof of identity. These include birth certificates and passports.Prrof of residence must also be supplied.Driving licences are also checked.
It is most rigourous.I think it fair to say that had this enhanced check been undertaken in previous years we could have avoided some embarrassments. As ever regards. Clive Page. |
