I think she is doing a great job with YI and I think she would make an excellent MEP. She is intelligent, below retirement age (something of major importance considering our present MEPs are dancing with the grim reaper!), she has good management skills and would do the party a wonder of good as a spokesperson/representative.

And no, I am not part of some Nigel-cabal, I am not common purpose, I am not out for a career in politics, I am not related to Lisa, and I am not paid by the EU establishment. Have I missed any possible conspiracy accusations that could be thrown my way?

There are many people in the party who I would despair at the mere thought of them becoming an MEP. There are some of our present bunch who cause me to dispair and hope for their retirement.

Finally; a voice of reason.

I hope you're talking about posters on this forum and not genuine UKIP members?

I am a genuine member of UKIP.
Most of us are great people but we're also totally impossible to keep under control. We are wayward and pull the party in every which way.

The party structure needs to change to accommodate that as a strength rather than a weakness. There is no-one in UKIP capable of doing that though. No-one ex-UKIP springs to mind, either.

The Leader of the UK Independence Party should have no other position than Leader of the Party.

Delroy Young would promote the Party throughout the whole of the UK,IMHO,if he was Leader.

Gerard does not want to be leader, that is why he did not try last time.

Do you not get out much, then?

She has, to her credit, mastered the art of caps lock and grammar, as well as not being a keyboard warrior.

You should speak to members in the East. I have yet to speak to anyone who voted for her. She is regarded as a poor speaker, arrogant and in it for what she can get. She is not honest about her intentions as far as the Euros are concerned. She DOES WANT to become an MEP and has boasted about Farage backing her. There are further revelations about her and Reeve but that can wait for the hustings and future posts.
