"What's even stranger is RS hasn't been a UKIP party member for two years and has had almost nothing to do with the party,"

That's very misleading Anthony.

The 'almost nothing' was actually to actively seek to rejoin UKIP I believe, is that correct?

Few would doubt that he will no doubt try again when the next leadership election approaches.

That's correct. But that is the entirety of his UKIP association - in the last two years he hasn't, to my knowledge, taken part in anything UKIP related, commented on the party or had anything to do with it in any way other than that very brief involvement relating to rejoining, which involved attending a Lisbon Treaty meeting and sending off a membership form. Prior to that, and since, there has been nothing.

I think that qualifies as 'almost nothing' over a two year period!
