Default UKIP Nigel Farage When allowed to speak.

Unlike Question Time when Nigel actualy has a chance to answer and speak he absolutely blitzes the issue. The reporter here has no come back when quizing him on immigration - She all but admits he is right by the look in her eyes at the end - she is left speechless. No wonder the other political parties members fear him, and resort to tactics of interupting and smearing. To debate him straight up you will inevitably end up the loser.

A fantastic performance.

Absolutely. From experience, Farage needs to emulate Maggie in his 'ad-hoc' replies, though. He's excellent when he's had a chance to prepare; his ability to improvise (something William Hague is excellent at, despite his other faults) could be masked by the Maggie technique of stonewalling, telling the interviewer that what they meant to ask was.... etc., followed by another masterful set piece.

His habit of saying "No." tends to add a pantomime-feel to the debate, not a good thing. So I agree, he should find a way to block unfavourable questions another way.

I got quite excited reading the headline on this post , until I realised this was the interview before the GE that never was! Best to keep up to date where possible!
