Star is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Young Independence Website

I am sure that most members will agree that the Young Independence website is excellent. Del Young did a great job getting it going. Lisa Duffy now wants to close it down and have a small section on the UKIP website. Is she and Mr Farage determined to airbrush Mr Young out of Young Independence history?

Don't be silly.

The YI website was costing too much and could not be afforded.
Lisa wants to retain it in some form useful to the Young Independents and a section on the UKIP website is the obvious answer to keep it going.

Del will always be appreciated as the one who brought the YI into being.

Given all the crazy talk in the Party about bringing back National Service, one wonders how much longer YI will even be in existence.

As a matter of interest, how much was the website costing? Just general per annum figures. UKIP has a number of excellent web designers; were their talents utilised to minimise cost?

I will be most disappointed if the YI website will be shut down due to costs as I know there was a reasonable quote put in - mine.

I will have nothing to do with Young Independence all the time a particular person is on the committee.

And to put an end to rumours which serviced on here recently, I have not joined The Liberal Party.

I would suggest you put it behind you. It's good that you're principled but it's important that we make progress on YI if we are to ever break into the mainstream.

Good to hear that, although the continuing Liberal party is an interesting little party.

Good to hear it. The rumours were also I think placed on the vote2007 forum which is a rather more serious forum than this one. I don't recall precisely where there it was placed, sorry.
