He has issued a statement. That is my point. The complaint is that he only issued it in a speech and then hid it away in a report on that meeting, rather than publishing a clear statement.

Another week has passed and no apology/correction in the Sunday Times, and no update from UKIP. Anyone heard of any movement?

Yes,thats a point,perhaps Clive Page can tell us all why Nigel is not sueing the Times over such a strong allegation which may or may not be true and equaly importantly,why hasn't Nigel complained to the Press Complaints Authority,(if not,why not?)

Hasn't Nigel previously said that he has requested an apology from the Sunday Times which was more than a month ago?

I would think that this is more than enough time for a response from the Sunday Times.
