Hi, The video is currently online as a test page...the intention is for it to go live on Monday morning with 1mb broadband versions, and half meg broadband version. The page will also include three buttons linking to the UKIP site, InDem Group site, and a page dedicated to contacting your MP.

The Remote Control. is that video page you see. It is simply a place to host the video and portal to the linked sites for further action.

I still don't know why this wasn't released before the bill went through Parliament?

very good video. Good enough to be on tv in fact, sad it is not. That's the sort of coverage needed

This film is currently at the portal Remote Control. That site is scheduled to go live by Monday am. (you are currently viewing the test page). The live page will have button links to the Ind Dem Group site, the UKIP site, and specific link to enable viewers to write or email their MP.

This portal will also have a low quality version option for those with basic broadband bandwidth. If people wish to link to the video it would be preferable for people to quote the Remote Control so that they get the benefit of choice of original quality encodes AND the appropraite links to make their voice heard. This is preferable to the YouTube imbed approach which does not have the links, is not in proper widescreen, and an encode of an encode.

The DVDs of Remote Control also have the web link to enable viewers to take action after viewing.

I am reliably informed that the remote Control film was initially conceived to illustrate how EU directives affect all of us every day. UKIP then realised it would also be an excellent way to tell people about the lies and deceit surrounding the Lisbon Treaty and the ominous realities of ratification.

The 20-minute film is the first stage of a two-part project. The producer and film company will now be making three or four 30-second to 1 minute 'vignettes' which will be humorous clips (for example rumour has it that a 'little old lady theme' will be used for the Post Offices clip) briefly highlighting some of the content of the film and culminating in a link to the long-form film. These will be posted on You Tube and other outlets in the hope that we can start a 'viral' distribution chain and thereby get a wider audience for the film.

The most effective way to achieve wider distribution of the 20 minute DVD is also under consideration.

Annabelle, perhaps you can inform us as to why it was issued so late in the day, after the vote in Parliament when it specifically tells the viewer to contact their MP re the referendum vote .Bit daft isn`t it?
