A very similar, although slightly differently worded, posting was made here (but deleted by a moderator) by Moljnir, so it wouldn't be unreasonable to suspect that this is the same person. Moljnir is also the person who exposed Clive Page's well kept 'secret' conviction for fraud, and thus is quite likely to be someone reasonably knowledgeable about UKIP's internal affairs (more than most). This does add some level of credibility to the issue. However, given that this person appears to be making accusations of embezzlement, we can't allow them on the forum without some proof.

You're only missing that politicians aren't trusted anymore. They have been giving OUR sovereignty away for decades and at an increasingly rapid pace whilst continuing to deny that anything of the sort is happening. Things have changed for the worse and they can't reasonably but surely will regardless complain about the consequences.

Come on, Anthony, you are becoming so tight-assed. It is not libellous or anything else to claim that someone has given someone else a present which is all that has been claimed here. Anyway it is well-known and has been circulating widely for some time. So why all the censorship?
Also why are you suddenly trying to analyse everyone's motives? Are you going to do that for every poster? When we joined, why and who we know? Could it not just be possible that some people like political gossip and to know a little bit more about the lives of the people who set themselves up to represent us? This forum should continue to play an important part in showing that their public faces are not always quite the full reality......... |

Stating opinions is one thing, stating that someone has committed embezzlement without any proof is quite something else. I have no personal knowledge of any MEP finances, and I find it hard to understand how or why anyone other than those involved would either. Hence we are being cautious. It is far too easy to simply invent offences.

Which MEP's Jag, with its personalised number plate, was spotted parked yesterday at Bristol airport?
Those free parking permits are only supposed to be used when the holder is on official business. not on holiday... so I hope the MEP concerned has paid for his parking, otherwise there might be a breakdown of trust between him and those who elected him to go to Brussels and fight EU fraud and corruption. And in any case, should our MEPs not be out canvassing with the local elections just two days away now? Its a funny time to choose to go away.... |

![]() In this case, I am fairly sure that he has been libelled. What is interesting is the slow motion car crash that is his handling of it. Because he has dithered around so much, instead of killing it off as soon as possible, he was ambushed live on the Daily Politics programme with it. Instead of this being a positive bit of news coverage just prior to the local elections and the London elections, Farage spent much of his time on the programme having to deny employing his son and justifying why he employs his wife. If he had spent the time promoting the party instead of having to talk about his wife's employment, could this have secured a few extra votes in a few key wards for UKIP? Remember that UKIP missed out on a couple of councillors by just a handful of votes I believe. Whatever reputation Farage had as a great media manipulator is in tatters I think. Presumably this episode has spurred him into action, and we will either see an apology in the paper tomorrow, or Farage will announce the start of legal action, or at the very least a complaint submission to the PCC. I won't hold my breath though ![]()
