It is well over due that eastern region should have a representative on the NEC.

Likewise John West should have been elected to the NEC long ago - he might have made it a couple of elections back had a whispering campaign not been used against him, (whoever was responsible falsely used the Lechlade name).

John and his wife have continued with their sterling work on behalf of the party and he thoroughly deserves his rightful place,

Whether he will enjoy the experience when he gets there remains to be seen.
