I think the content is good and the presentation, while not sparkling, is clean and unoffensive.

Maybe the fact I'm not a web design nerd means I don't get as upset at such things.

It's OK, not the best website I've ever seen, but it's not the worst either.

It's only a website,99% of those who view it will think of nothing more than it's content,which is very good IMHO.

Not necessarily, looks play their part - put the same information on two websites - one good and one shabby - and I guarantee that the one that looks more professional will curry more favour.

Content and looks both play a part. A UKIP content/ style guide for websites is being produced, and is in the final throws of poroofing/ approval etc...
