I disagree. Folks who visit here are generally awed by the scale of the institutions, and the lavishness of the facilities. And until you witness for yourself the farcical nature of the 'debates', you cannot appreciate what a travesty of a democracy this all is. I think people go away better armed to put the UKIP arguments forward.

As for my office, you and any other UKIP member are welcome to visit any time you wish.

I'm not UKIP anymore. You have convinced me I was doing more damage than good to the UKIP cause.

(actually Douglas Denny and Strathan helped convince me too)

The UKIP Party should be paying for this trip.

It will be quite amusing if, one day, UKIP is made to refund the Taxpayer.

It's Stathan by the way not Strathan.

What?..... Helped convince you that you were doing more damage than good to the UKIP cause?

I suppose calling everyone who doesn't agree with all your views a fascist in every other sentence doesn't exactly help the cause, so I think on balance you've probably made the right decision.

Maybe when you've increased your vocabulary you might think about rejoining, I might even consider sponsoring you once you've got over your little fascist Tourettes syndrome problem.

Sorry Strathan.

Seriously, I reckon you could be up for a gold badge, for services rendered.

I understand that you are having trouble coming to grips that you wanting to tell people what they can do in their own premises, is indeed fascist. It's hard coming to grips with the fact you are one, but as I have said before, don't worry. Most people are, it must be human nature.

When you are going to collect your gold medal from Farage for services to UKIP, make sure you tell him your position on smoking. He will thank you and probably make your position official party policy I reckon. Make sure you tell him your right to breath clean air, in his property is an essential freedom for you, that he should be willing to bow down to it.

He won't call you a fascist at all, I am sure.

At the risk of inflaming things...

UKIP members can't be expected to agree on everything except the need to get out of the EU. I am more with mkpdavies on this issue but it is certainly not of sufficient significance on it's own for me to make a judgement on those who take a different view with regard to their or my membership of a political party.

And UKIP policy has to date been to oppose the smoking ban so it would be very inconsistent for Farage or UKIP to change their mind on such a basis as a meeting with Stathan.

I was being sarcastic. The lowest form of wit I know, but it's all I have.
