You miss the whole point (deliberately, methinks).

We are not discussing the vote, we are discussing the fact that a proposal is presented (albeit amended) in the name of Ind Dem.

You seemed to suggest originally that this was not the case, and that what was presented was merely a bundle of amendments. You were wrong, weren't you?

Default Yet another twist on Directive saga

Well Well So yesterday I hear the IndDem Group backtracked and formally withdrew its support for the Maritime Directive and asked for its name to be taken off.

Then UKIP voted against it.

So the cunning old whip Knapman must have been right originally and somebody else either misunderstood what was going on or more likely was deliberately up to some backroom deal.

UKIP has yet again made a fool of itself - first it signs up to something, then defends that, denies it is what it clearly is, then quickly backs down, ending up voting against what it originally proposed.

Fools? Or perhaps more? Useful fools dancing to the EU tune........
