You are invited, as one of the three MPs in the Borough of Sefton, to speak and join a panel question time at a public meeting, called for the benefit of Sefton residents, on 3 December at 19.30 at Bootle Cricket Club, Wadham Road, Bootle.

The issue we would like you to clarify is your position on the question should the EU Reform Treaty be put to a referendum of the British people. We are not seeking arguments for and against the treaty as such, but focus on the greater principle that having had almost all UK political parties pledge a referendum on a prospective new EU Reform Treaty, we would like to hear what your stance is on this issue.

We will be seeking a balanced public debate, indeed we have invited a Liberal Party speaker. If you are unable to attend, a letter explaining your point of view would be welcome.

If you cannot attend, could you advise us when and where a small delegation of residents from our meeting could discuss the matter at your convenience.
