I quite agree, Steve.

If we can't punish this Labour shower in power for not giving us the referendum they promised on the EU Constitution (EU 'Amending Treaty') then let other events punish them for us.

Ms Harman said she had no reason to think the money came from Mr Abrahams and she had accepted Mrs Kidd as a "pre-existing Labour donor".
Ms. Harman is of course, no witless bimbo who doesn't know about these things. She qualified and worked as a solicitor and was Solicitor General and Minister for Justice at the Department of Consitutional Affairs.

A member of the Transport and General Workers Union, Harriet has worked with the Trade Union movement, in particular on the issue of equality.

In 2001, Harriet was appointed Solicitor General. She led a drive within Government to make tackling domestic violence a priority. The successful campaign led to a new law - the Domestic Violence Crime and Victims Act, the introduction of a new team of specialist prosecutors to ensure more effective prosecutions for domestic violence and a new network of 60 specialist domestic violence courts.

After the 2005 General Election, Harriet was appointed Minister for Justice at the Department for Constitutional Affairs.
Harriet Harman: About Harriet

Her husband is Jack Dromey the Labour Party treasurer who blew the gaff on the Loans for Lordships scandal. I suppose they don't talk shop much at home.

From The Spectator: 27th November 2007,

Harriet Harman's memory

Quote:
I was about to write that Harriet Harman can only be either an idiot or a liar. Since it's long been clear that she is the former, I was willing to accept her word that she assumed Janet Kidd was kosher because she was a pre-existing donor to the Labour Party.

Until I watched her interview with Nick Robinson (link awaited). She says she has no idea how Hilary Benn knew that Kidd was a figleaf for Abrahams. OK, useless but believable of an idiot. And then, right at the end, she says she had never heard of Abrahams.

Come off it, Harriet, who are you trying to kid? Harriet Harman was integral to Labour's opposition milieu, and anyone around then would have run into David Abrahams, as I make clear below.
