Grassroots are blatantly anti-Farage.

So what? Do you believe *all* party members should agree with the party leader?
Be a peculiar party if they did.

In what regard/s will it be too late? As Matt suggests it may be too late already for Britain. But it depends on what one is referring to.

Independent UKIP - My apologies, my last posting was rather obscure
I was refering to The new treaty which will be formally signed by all European leaders in Lisbon on 13 December and subsequently go for ratification next year, with a view to coming into place by mid-2009, ahead of the next European elections.
It will have been signed ,sealed & delivered, making all political Partys (inc. UKIP) irrelevant. Perhaps Matt is correct - it's already too late.

As the grass-roots meeting was open to any Tom Dick or Henry whether in UKIP ,Tories,BNP or anything else it is ridiculous for these flat earth movers and bone shakers to make demands of the UKIP party leadership based on motions passed there. They are a joke.

I agree we must support him until the next leadership election.

This is what makes the time up until the next election so important. If the Reform Treaty cannot be stopped from passing into legislation through a referendum, then by offering the electorate a vote on the matter at the next GE, which will be around the same time, is the second best option.

In my view, if there is not a successful campaign which shows the public significantly adverse to a United States of Europe at that time - Matt will be correct - it will be too late and our fate will be in others hands.

The self-proclaimed 'Grassroots' people were entitled to have a meeting and make representations (i.e. express opinions) and perhaps expect a polite response from the UKIP leadership.

However, making demands and declaring an ultimatum was not a good idea.
