Pasolini did a version of Canterbury Tales which includes the Miller's Tale and any other of the stories that involve young men taking their kit off; his version of the Decameron also included a lot of late teen nudity. The press used to periodically do a vox pop and show people the Miller's Tale in particular and ask 'is that the sort of thing our children should be reading', along with the porter's speech from Macbeth it usually got a thumb's down.

I have crossed swords with Chichester Branch committee. They genuinely think that Mote is an okay guy and were publicly wishing him well on their website even though he is not a member of UKIP and was a member of ITS. They are playing nicely into the hands of UKIPWatch and have not been subject to any disciplinary action, AFAIK, from head office.

bnpforme, what is the amount of money that people should be allowed to steal before we condemn them?

I'm not happy with wasting taxpayer's money and in my own way have tried to rectify the situation, but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't wholeheartedly condemn people such as Ashley Mote, who like yourself condemn the spending on immigrants etc, but steal from the same public purse with impunity.

Ashley Mote isn't even repentant and blames everybody but himself for the situation in which he finds himself. This is the same Ashley Mote who cost the taxpayer a fortune funding his abortive attempt to hide behind the same sort of immunity that some MEP's have in their countries. This is the same Ashley Mote who stole from his own relations and it is the same Ashley Mote who encouraged people to set up offshore companies in Delaware and hide their funds in the Isle of Man.

Ashley Mote has defrauded the DWP, Chichester District Council and countless others in his pursuit of wealth. He evades tax, plagiarises books and is aided by useful idiots, such as Chichester Branch, in his selfish behaviour. How credible do you think UKIP is in Chichester when the local branch applauds those who steal their own council tax?

Out of 'convenience' Ashley Mote joined ITS and became a part of it's structure, mixing with Mussolini and le Pen into the bargain. When this was first mooted Ashley Mote denied it vehemently and said he would have nothing whatsoever to do with such people, but as with everything to do with Ashley Mote, money always takes place ahead of his faux principals.

For someone who rails against fraud he has a very strange pedigree in serving a prison sentence for behaviour that he roundly condemns in all others.

Go to Ashley Mote's website and read his speeches and ask how they accord with his unending dishonesty.

The man is the vilest gobbet of sputum to emit from the devil's mouth, IMHO. I can honestly say that I have seen dog turds that I would rather elect to the EU Parliament ahead of Ashley Mote.

You're right, I did! I checked for committee chairmanships (which they don't hold), but forgot committee memberships. Must be slipping.
