It's not posties' fault Royal Mail can't compete - Telegraph

It was returning money to the Treasury and then the markets had to be opened to competition unlike some other EU countries who avoided that I believe Germany France and Holland and now their National Post Offices are cherry picking profitable business in the UK - The German PO is Duestche Post or DHL (Privitised), France GeoPost or Parceline and the Dutch TNT recognise these names

The Royal Mail has been screwed by the gov and the EU

I trust DHL and TNT with my parcels. I don't trust the Royal Mail. Royal Mail lost 4 of my items last year, and damaged another 2.

I would LOVE to use couriers instead, but the friggin' Royal Mail has the monopoly on domestic mail.

The Royal Mail handles far more parcels and post then anyone else in the UK
I have worked for companies where couriers have lost or damaged parcels

I have also driven on a temporary contract for the Royal Mail and have seen the way that the company is run

Royal Mail's courier service, parcelforce I belive, is shoddy. Expensive, slow, unprofessional and an awful tracking service. So far, I have been most impressed with Citylink.
