Default Printing/copying query.

Does anyone know the most widely used/cheapest to operate/purchase printers/copiers amongst the other political parties?
Given the amount of literature we will have to churn out during the prospective campaign I feel it may be an idea for my county to get one so we don't get stuck waiting at the back of a queue somewhere.

commercial printing will be more cost effective. For a good printer you are looking at a small fortune, plus very highly paid staff to operate it. In both design and printing.

The thing is, I know the larger parties locally do their own printing. I would have thought that technology would have given us a reasonably quick printer by now. If the poxy Lexmarks etc you can buy for £20 in PCworld can do an acceptable job on short runs then there must be something similar but designed for large runs. The design and so on won't be a problem, we have people who can write and design. I would just like to know what make/model is used by local constituency parties so we can look at doing what they do and also giving our doorknockers a valid reason to be out pounding the streets. A commercial printers may not be able to work to the timescales I want.

I use an OKI C5250. It does A4 double sided printing. It's reasonably fast and does bulk printing in colour.

Risograph.
Any idea the price and where to buy?
I have heard of them as a tool used by other parties.

Thanks BB.
