Default Telegraph, top 100 Right wing people, Lord Tebbit, David Laws MP, Lord Kalms

The Telegraph today publishes numbers 75 to 51 on its list of the 100 top Conservatives (its choice as the top 100 right wing people) in the UK - and it includes Lord Tebbit (the anti-EU former Chairman of the Conservative Party) eurosceptic businessman Lord Kalms and - surprisingly - Liberal Dim Party MP David Laws who - two weeks ago - allegedly described opponents of the EU 'Amending' Treaty who want a referendum on it as "headbangers":

I agree, I think he would be around 60, he would be perceived as very influential due to his position as leader of the Party, an MEP, friendly with many politicians throughout the EU and also with celebrities.

He is also a nice guy and has a sense of humour. When there was a meeting in Eastleigh for our Candidate selection he came in with his family and joked to me about me not being the youngest person there now as his son was with him. If he stayed with the Conservative Party he probably could've been at the very least a Cabinet level politician and the Conservatives would probably be in power. Bliar was voted in because of his charisma.

Do you think I can ask the paper to put all UKIP people in the top 50 places??? Oh well, worth a try!

52. SAMANTHA CAMERON
Wife of the Leader of the Conservative Party

We debated whether Samantha Cameron belonged on this list, but being able to whisper sweet nothings into the Leader of the Opposition each night by definition makes her a person of influence on the leading man in this list.

She may not be a political wife in the Hillary Clinton mould, but we are reliably informed that she has definite views on issues which she is not reticent in putting forward.

So is David Cameron numero uno??

Guy Ritchies mum is number 64!!

Default Telegraph list of top 100 right wing peope, Dr. Ruth Lea, Mr. Farage, Mr. A. Green

The Telegraph today publishes its third part of a list of 100 most infuential right wing people in the UK - a couple of UKIP members have already been named on earlier parts of the list published earlier this week.

Today it is places number 50 to 26 in the top 100.

At 50 is Mr. Andrew Green, head of Migrationwatch.

In at number 48 is Mr. Nigel Farage MEP - leader of UKIP for the last year.

It is not likely that any other members of UKIP will be named in the final part of the list (numbers 25 - to number 1) which will appear tomorrow.

Eurosceptics on the list in today's Telegraph include Simon Wolfson of the Next chain of shops and the much-admired head of the Centre for Policy Studies, Dr. Ruth Lea.

The list (covering places 50 to 26 of the Telegraph's top 100 right wing people) can be found here:
