But it can be in Europe but not ruled so much by Europe - which seems to be where Cameron stands.

No we can't. That is not the purpose of the EU, every single one of the EU institutions relies on supra national conformity.

Yes - that is where the mamouth is heading - as I said Cameron will try to fight closer integration - he won't succeed, but he would slow the process down. Thereby giving the anti EU movement time to get its act together [by operating as in alliance] to actually achieve something.
