Default "Where are the red lines now" asks UKIP MEP as EU man calls for more immigration

"Where are the red lines now" UKIP MEP Gerard Batten is asking as EU Commissioner Frattini calls for more immigration (Gordon Brown claimed that the UK Government's 'red lines' on important matters would not be crossed as regards negotiations on the contents of the text of the EU 'Amending' Treaty):

Default Gerard Batten, Bruges Group, cost of EU paper, London, By-Elections

Gerard Batten wrote that excellent Bruges Group paper on the cost to the UK of the EU.

He has also helped out in various local and Parliamentary By-Elections within or close to his London EU constituency.

Gerard has always been a cut above the other MEPs, IMHO.

However, as one of the few "spokesmen" who actually has a role and does something with it (Defence), isn't immigration outside his remit? Yet now it appears that he is the "UKIP spokesman on Immigration" as well... very confusing.

I am pretty sure that UKIP actually just makes up the roles according to whatever is appropriate for the press release, regardless of who says it.

EU Justice Commissioner Franco Frattini has called for the relaxation of EU immigration controls in order to throw open Europe's borders to an extra 20 million workers from Asia and Africa. Is there any doubt about which EU country these people would head for?
This is an unusual start to a release. It is a mix of editorial and news. I would have expected the last sentence to appear in a quote.

I forgot to say that it is a good solid statement.
