Default UKIP Treasurer resigns

Bruce Lawson has apparently resigned as treasurer. See more at the latest news section at http://www.grassroots-democracy.co.uk/

I wonder how much more the members are prepared to take?

I suppose UKIP central are in full 'cover up' mode.

Specualtion is pointless, I suppose.

But being the Treasurer of an outfit as large as UKIP without doing the job Fulltime, and with the appropriate salary, is just impossible.

We have just had the Mote case and according to Grassroots the NEC are not going to be informed of his reasons for leaving.

Speculation is essential if the NEC and members are not going to be informed of why he is going.

I meant pointless in the sense that getting the facts from the UKIP Chief[s] is much the same as trying to get the facts from the EU.

Without a hint of a reason, such speculation could be barking up the wrong tree.

But without the truth, that is a particular Cross the UKIP lot are going to have to bear.

Ain't that tough.

They shouldn't have blown the full £80k on Nige's Ego last year.

Nige's ego is immense still so it must have been a successful operation.

After the Mote case he was interviewed and he said that UKIP could now get on and prepare for the next EU elections - no significance [16.8% last time] not the more likely next up GE - considerable significance [2.38% last time].

UKIP Land is Dreamland.
It must be quite a pleasant place to inhabit; so long as you avoid the attentions of that nasty Ogre . . .

In Real World, even EUphiles are saying, rather brazenly, that UKIP is a "busted flush".
And loathe as I am to be actually agreeing with EUphiles . . .

Bruce Lawson has a new job in a different part of the country.

No conspiracy I'm afraid, chaps.

Glad to see NEC confidentiality still going strong.

Statement from Party chairman to be on the website shortly.

Excellent - a clear and forthright statement of the truth is just what is required to scotch rumours.
