I'm curious. Do you sit on a branch executive? Do you run in local elections? How much money have you donated to UKIP over the past five years? Have you canvassed or leafletted in the past five months? Or do you just spend your time on the computer moaning and griping?

We await your answers with bated breath.

I am not taking sides in this, but your argument is one we have seen many times before. However, this is a discussion forum and a poster's history is absolutely irrelevant as to whether their discussion is valid or not. Either the praise/criticism is fair or it isn't, and it shouldn't matter who says it.

Independent political forums like this are designed for all viewpoints to be aired. We have UKIP loyalists, a couple of press officers and more than one NEC member, here who are all willing to paint a glowing picture of UKIP, so there is no danger of an imbalanced picture.

So I would ask you to please avoid the ad hominem attacks and stick to the discussion in hand.

Well, that's very kind of you to apologise to me, but I don't think you really needed to.

I was more after an apology from Petrina for her sniping and inaccurate comments.

..but if we all had to apologise for sniping and inaccurate comments the forum would need several sections for each class of apology - basic sorry, grovelling, OTT.

Surely it would be much worse if you and Petrina wore identical suits to the conference. Who would apologise to who - age before beauty, pearls before swine sort of thing?

Surely we're due another resignation in the next week ahead of conference. We know the routine, post here and and on grassroots fora, post on members only site from Europe, round robin emails from Greg L-Whatsit and Andrew Edwards, sage words of academic wisdom from somebody called simon,
etc etc.Plymouth secret brotherhood chip in with (special ) purposeful tales from the other side ,then mother will chip with a matronly admonishment of our 'useless ' leader and MEPs.

I must apologise Bellatrixy for introducing leaking condoms to this site and for you getting the blame from the old dears on here but I find the leaks from the NEC a bitter pill to swallow. As for Aardvark and his pearl (necklaces?) ,what a swine .

And loathe as I am to be actually agreeing with EUphiles . . .

What has that got to do with politics? People who argue in these inane ways and avoid all debate about policy are not even worthy of replying to. They descend into the gutter and bring our democratic institutions into disrepute. Without proper political debate we might as well accept dictatorship. Of course being on the side of the EU gives one a rather strong hand considering their power but it is not the point. The UKIP are made of much tougher stuff and it is only the weak that side with the biggest bully in the class. It does not give them real power though, only the freedom to do as they are told!
