Default UKIP Accounts 2006

http://www.electoralcommission.org.u..._N__S__W__.pdf

From a quick glance the financial position is better than in 2005. But I also see current membership is 16,700. Membership at year end was 16,000. But the 2005 accounts show membership at year end of 19,000 having fallen from 26,000 in 2004. I expect the opponents of UKIP will have something to say about that. Though one of the 2 UKIP obsessed parties have not provided their accounts to the Electoral Commission and the other has not stated their membership figures in their accounts. Oh, and there was no fine for being late with the accounts!

Notice how little was spent on leafletting. Is this due to lack of elections?

Pffft. Not what I call progress. At least they dared report them I guess.

Look at the donations. Truly pathetic. No wonder we don't seem to do anything.

Can anyone say broken?

"Broken"?
Not yet.

But if I was a Millionaire thinking about donating; that £80k blown on the Bromley By-Election would make me think again.

So Heaven knows what the published figures for 2007 are going to say!

Donations that needed to be reported under S62 PPERA [whatever that is - over a certain amount I presume] only amounted to £22k. I thought Alan Bown was our benefactor - does that mean he gave £22K?

I think it's donations over 5K in a given quarter, or in a given year where they sum to over 5K.

Most donations would be to election campaigns of some sort, and so I presume come under different categories.

I cannot see any other category that it could come under.

The 2006 accounts of my party were filed on time. I think I should know as I filed them!

We do not quote our membership numbers for two reasons - they are smaller than some other parties (such as UKIP's) albeit growing quickly and we count only active paid up members. I understand that some parties have much looser defintions of who is a member.

Obsessed with UKIP? I am obsessed with getting England out of the EU and I would love to have any UKIP members feeling disillusioned with Mr Farage and/or a list of UKIP baggage consider joining the English Democrats.

For a time UKIP was the UK's best hope of beating the EU. I think the baton has passed to the English Democrats.
