Well they didn't get it right first time - I think full marks for getting it right the second time - praise where praise is due.

One question is she a " Jill " as Independence News described her in election issue or a "Gill" as per result?

I was referring to votes cast for candidates - how much difference was there ?

What is the official explanation for the disallowed votes.

I wonder how many of them were for the likes of truly independent candidates like Dennis Brooke's.

The current 'official' version is that the voting slips that were disallowed did not carry the membership number on the outside.

Interestingly, that requirement was stated in the rules printed in indy news for the FIRST election. I understand that requirement to write your membership number on the outside was not expicitly stated in the voting instructions in indy news for the second election - although not having seen indy news I can't corroborate this - seems possible though.

In which case the second election should also be declared null and void.

It looks like far fewer voted this time than last time, unless a much smaller % of votes were disallowed a year ago.

The following candidates were elected to the NEC.
Nigel Farage 1529 votes
Delroy Young 1146
Alan Bown 1014
Rachel Oxley 780
Anthony Butcher 753
Gill Chant 724
Richard Suchorzewski 629
Bryan McCormack 585
-------------------------------
Of the new folk Chris Gill will be one to watch as he is capable of leading UKIP himself. How closely is he allied with Farage?

Well I was not aware of this requirement and my vote has therefore been discounted. I had not read the voting instructions for the first election (as it had been postponed before I got round to voting) and there was no mention of such a requirement in indy news for the second election, unless it was on the ballot paper, which I am pretty sure that it wasn't.
