Default new stunt coming?

http://ukip.org/ukip_news/gen12.php?t=1&id=3069

On our opposition demonstration at the signing of the draft treaty:

Quote:
The UKIP MEPs and press officers will be at the summit in force and we have prepared a visual demonstration that explains our feelings on this process. Already we are contacting all of the media, both nationally and locally, so that we can present the real voice of opposition
I wonder what they have planned?

A euro-tank, driven by actors in frog costumes with SS insignia, which Farage valiantly engages with rubber tipped bazooka rounds.

Possibly.

UKIP knew well in advance this was coming. UKIP is supposed to be an active protest party ( if not what substance is there in UKIP apart from press release puff ?). A protest could have been called in Brussels to burn the EU flag with a swastica on it, scatter leflets and get arrested with mega publicity & arrangements outlined for members to get there.

This issue is fundamental to removal of democracy in which vocal refusal to recognize validity of hand over of powers and civil disobediance becomes an essential step of for a party passionate about defence of democracy.

Instead the UKIP mouse squeaks

Maybe UKIP MEPs are now too cozy in their plush new offices and IDD allowances in the EU.

Lets face it one bomb blowing down the EU gates with an angry pro democracy press release to go with it would send EU fascism into panic and do more than UKIP is inclined to achieve . ( Not advocating of course ... leave it to Gerry Adams when he comes out from being fawned to by Tony Blair. )

Not just UKIP.

Where are the so called pressure groups?

Where are the other small anti-EU parties?

Where is anyone?

The who anti-EU movement is a shambles. Even on a personal level, what have any of us done about it?

Sweet FA. Perhaps we all deserve what is coming.

I think that you will find that our protest amounts to a lot of hot air .
You will understand what I mean when it happens !

Re the other groups ,I agree what is happening ?Perhaps they are waiting for something more concrete to occur before they get their act together .
To be fair not even Blair really knows what is going on yet.

As for the CIB of which I am now a member of the national committee, they are hampered by the fact that they are in the process of deciding upon a new chairman ,when that happens I believe that you will see a lot more action .

I have always assumed you are an active member of UKIP. On that basis: why did you not burn the EU flag (with Swastika or otherwise), scatter leaflets & aim to get arrested along with as many of your fellow local UKIP members as possible? Or did the local & national media not report your activity?

Perhaps you don't want yourself & your branch to be arrested, have their DNA, photo, fingerprints taken for life & require to report & wait, wait, wait at the US Embassy to beg for a visa just because they want a family holiday in America?

Inedpendent UKIP has a good point. An artclie in The Times a few weeks ago revealed how the right to protest has gone. A bloke dressed as Charlie Chaplin outside Downing Street was carted off by the Old Bill for refusing ti speak or divulge his identity. However are civil disobedience tactics going to be appropriate for this further occasion of the Government signing away our freedom? Let's see what the press office does. At least it now does its job rather than promoting internal strife. They do have their work cut out as in all the disucussion of teh EU constitution he papers are careful not to mention UKIP and try to get some credit for Blue Labour from the sordid business.
