Just out of interest, was UKIP unaware that it needed a permit to inflate the thing, or was a deliberate choice made to not apply so that the police would be forced to act, thus creating a story?
If the latter, it might have been worth while finding some UKIP members willing to be arrested over it. I am sure that there would be plenty of volunteers for the cause. And why not start using some hidden cameras on these protests? It would be far more effective to release a video of the police being unreasonable. Embrace the new media. |
